Cherrie is a proud native Washingtonian (Washington, DC) who also now proudly calls Gainesville, Fl home. She loves to refer to herself as a Beltway Gator. After a 25+ year career in higher education, she pivoted to a real estate career in 2019. She is driven to help the Gainesville community find a path to owning a home and building wealth. Real Estate is not just transactional to Cherrie but it is about building and connecting life long partnerships and relationships. Cherrie thrives to make the Community she lives in a better place, so she also is very active in the local Real Estate board and has served as Chair of the Public Policy committee and is currently attending the Gainesville Alachua County Association of Realtors (GACAR) Leadership Academy and has served in Leadership as President and currently serves on the Executive Board for a local philanthropic non-profit organization that funds projects in underserved communities to promote health initiatives. Her other hobbies include singing and she is a member of the Gainesville Master Chorale and also sings with her parish choir at Queen of Peace Catholic Community. She also has traveled the world singing with her Choir from Washington, DC the St. Augustine Gospel Choir and has performed for three Popes during their Stateside Papal visits, numerous Presidents and Dignitaries. She is a wife to Bob and mom to Rory and Harper and Mom dog to Bruno. She also enjoys travel with her family exploring the many amazing natural spaces in Florida. She is an author, Professional Speaker and TEDx Speaker.
